NEPAL KING

CPN-UML leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has warned to jail former King Gyanendra Shah if the latter does not stop his ‘anti-democratic’ activities.
Speaking at a party program in the Capital on Saturday, leader Nepal urged the former king to shun his regressive activities. “This time only the Nepal Army personnel deployed in the security of the former king have been rolled back. If the situation arises, even the Armed Police Force personnel will be recalled,” said Nepal, adding, “If he continues such regressive activities, he will be sent to jail.”
UML leader Nepal also mentioned the removal of NA’s security as ‘normal activity.’ The government had replaced NA personnel by some 50 APF personnel led by Deputy Superintendent deployed in the security of the king and his family.
Speaking on different note, Nepal said that the UCPN (Maoist) combatants would get any positions if they fulfill the criteria of the NA.
The former prime minister said that the new constitution would be drafted in the stipulated time frame if its draft was prepared by April 27. “We do not have to wait till May 27 to draft constitution if the draft is prepared by April 27,” Nepal said.
